"Sunday on the Hill"

9:00am Sunday 14th August. Received an e-mail from Aberdeen Soarers. informing me they intended to meet at 10:30am for their annual trip up the Knock, and would be happy to see any Dallachy members for an afternoons flying. As this was short notice I called anyone who I thought might manage to get here on time and then collected my gear together and took a walk up the hill.
    As the others were coming from the Cornhill side and as the wind was in the SSW I went up directly behind my house and put up the old President Hy-Fly so the other would see it and know where to find me. The Aberdeen contingent finished up at four members with a good assortment of planes and were all set for a good afternoon, although the wind was a bit on the light side.
    We all had some good long flights. And despite the wind slowly swinging around to the North, which meant we had to move around the hill everyone enjoyed themselves and I found some new like-minded mad guy's who like to climb hills and fly gilders.
