How to get to KNOCK HILL Slope Soaring Site.

        Take the A95 from Keith to Banff. Approximatly 9 miles out of Keith, you will see a sign pointing to Sillyearn & Edingight, take this sharp left turn and after a few hundred yards you will see a pair of field gates on the right. Go through these! (PLEASE LEAVE CLOSED OR OPEN AS FOUND). Follow the track up to the end and park. Then walk through the wood following a track running north-west till you come to a fence going up the hill, follow this up above the tree line and the move round the hill in either direction to take advantage of the prevailing wind and climb until you are satified with your position. Then get out the glider and enjoy.
        Alternativly you can travel to the second parking place furthur round the hill leaving the main road towards Swilebog. this will take you up the North-East side of the hill.
       At weekends you will usually find Paul & Ian up there when the wind is South-West to North-East & anything from a 5 to 30 mph wind. A good indication of the wind is to follow this LINK this will give you a forcast for the hill address.
