A Day at Spynie Gala.

After the heavy rains on Saturday we had a good day at Westfield House, this years venue for Spynie Gala.

The club was well represented this year with some of the members putting on a short flying display which went down well with spectators as the flying display by the Shempston Tiger Moth was cancelled at last minute due to unsuitable weather conditions. we were very limited in the type of models we could fly due to the take-off & landing area being not only small but enclosed on all side with stone dykes, fences, overhead power lines and trees.

After the short take-offs flying was kept at a reasonable height roughly within the bounds of the enclosure above while the spectators were to the right of the picture on the other side of a high garden wall where the actual gala took place.

Willie Robb also entertained the crowd with a demonstration by his electric heli in the main arena.
